American Sierra Gold – Discovery Day Update

RENO, NV - JUNE 09, 2010 - American Sierra Gold Corp. (OTC BB: AMNP) regretfully announces that a fatal incident occurred at the Discovery Day Mine project on the evening of May 28th, 2010 resulting in the death of a mineworker.

American Sierra's Chief Executive Officer Mr. Wayne Gruden and his management team express their sincere condolences to the family of the deceased.

MSHA commenced an investigation to the cause of the incident the following day and all underground work has been suspended pending completion of the investigation. American Sierra's management is also conducting its own investigation of the incident.
